Cuba and the European Union Hold Consultations on Disarmament
The European Union and Cuba identify broad areas of agreement in the field of disarmament.
The second dialogue on “Disarmament and Non-proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction” and “Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons and other Conventional Weapons” took place in a virtual format between Cuba and the European Union.
Cuba elected to the United Nations Human Rights Council for the fifth time
Cuba has been elected as member of the United Nations Human Rights Council, a body made up by 47 member States responsible for the promotion and protection of all human rights in the world. Cuba, a founding member of the Council that abolished the former Human Rights Commission, is holding, for the fifth time, one seat among the eight reserved for the Group of Latin American and Caribbean States.

Sixty years after their adoption, the principles of Bandung, which were the most immediate precedent of the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries, remain fully valid and are ever more relevant.
We recognize the work carried out by the Presidency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Movement and its efforts to preserve and strengthen the indispensable activism of the countries of the South.
