Measures imposed by US Government against FINCIMEX harm the Cuban people.
The inclusion of Fincimex in the list of restricted entities of the US State Department in June last, as well as the Treasury Department’s modifications to the regulations for the control of Cuban assets announced on Friday, October 23, will prevent remittances to Cuba through US companies with general licenses, which will directly harm the Cuban people and their relatives in the US.
Camilo is the image of the people
Camilo Cienfuegos Gorriarán (February 6, 1932 – October 28, 1959) was a Cuban fighter and revolutionary. He was an expeditionary of the Yacht Granma, fought in the Sierra Maestra along with Fidel, was one of the Commanders who brought the revolution from East to West and one of the fundamental pillars of the armed gestation that overthrew the pro-imperialist tyranny of dictator Fulgencio Batista on January 1, 1959. Inseparable friend of Ernesto Che Guevara. His courage caused the people to spontaneously grant him the honorary title of Hero of Yaguajay and Lord of the Vanguard. After the triumph of the Cuban Revolution he was appointed Chief of Staff of the Rebel Army, a position from which he dealt with the arrest of Hubert Matos after the attempted uprising he starred in in the province of Camaguey. Camilo's plane disappeared on October 28, 1959 on a journey from Camaguey to Havana and was never found. Since that tragic day, every October 28th the Cuban people throw flowers into the sea and rivers throughout Cuba as a tribute to their life and work.

As has been published in the Cuban press, for these hours the foreign service bill is discussed in the National Assembly of Cuba – Parliament. Comprehensive attention to the colony of Cubans residing abroad is one of the most important functions and duties of consular work – a substantial element of the foreign service--, because it is one of the supreme purposes and endeavors of the Cuban Nation. This is expressed, among other aspects, both in terms of the quality and agility of consular services, and in the essentials that it is essential to maintain and strengthen every day the closest contact and exchange with all Cuban compatriots living abroad, either by digital or telephone channels (under the current conditions determined by the pandemic) , or above all through enriching personal contact, in direct encounters with Cubans in cities, towns, villages, islands, where they live with their families – in this case Cuban-Greeks – whenever these encounters are possible. Direct and face-to-face meetings will resume in due course.
