At the closing ceremony of the Festival of the Communist Youth of Greece (KNE) in Athens, in his speech, the general secretary of the KNE Nikos Abatielos said: "The blockade of Cuba is an act of barbarism"!
On his part, the general secretary of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) Dimitris Koutsoumbas in his speech condemned the blockade of Cuba, and stated that "Biden follows the same patterns as Trump with the most punishing embargo against Cuba." And he added: “For that reason in every Greek there is a Cuban. Cuba has our indivisible solidarity, until victory always ".

Athens, September 24. At the annual festival of the Communist Youth of Greece (KNE), which takes place on September 23, 24 and 25 in Athens, a massive event of solidarity with Cuba was organized under the slogan "Cuba is not alone." There, the floor were taken by Aris Evangelidis, head of Latin America at the International Relations Department of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE); and Zelmys Maria Dominguez Cortina, ambassador of Cuba in Greece.

A meeting was held at the Cuban embassy in Greece, between Ambassador Zelmys Maria Dominguez Cortina, Nikos Theodorakis, son of the prestigious Greek musician and revolutionary Mikis Theodorakis, recently deceased, and Velisarios Kossivakis, coordinator of the Greek initiative to apply for the Nobel Prize to the Henry Reeve contingent of Cuban doctors.

We are living uncertain times. Under the demolishing impact of a pandemic that has worsened structural inequities and the global crisis, the role of multilateralism and the United Nations becomes ever more important. And international cooperation has been insufficient.
The implementation of neo-liberal formulas for decades has been reducing States’ capabilities to meet the needs of their populations.
The most vulnerable have been left unprotected, while rich nations, the elites and the pharmaceutical transnational corporations have continued to profit.
Not only it is urgent that we unite our wills and pool our efforts for the wellbeing of humanity. It is morally imperative
