Cuba could supply Guyana’s construction sector
Georgetown Guyana. November 26th, 2022. THE Cuban Minister of Construction, Rene Mesa Villafana and a high-level official from his Ministry assured President of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), Timothy Tucker, and Guyana’s Ambassador to Cuba, Halim Majeed, that Cuba could supply different types of materials for Guyana’s construction sector.
The two Guyanese officials met with the Cuban Minister and his team at the Havana International Trade Fair (FIHAV) held last week on the EXPO CUBA Fair Grounds.

In the morning, a tribute was paid to the victims of the brutal terrorist attack on Cubana de Avión CU-455, which occurred on October 6, 1976, and claimed the lives of 73 people, of them, 5 Korean citizens, 11 Guyanese and 57 Cubans. This abominable crime was committed by the Cuban counterrevolution, which had the support and protection of the Central Intelligence Agency of the United States of America.
