187 votes in favor of Cuba leave the United States looking bad before the world

Today, November 7, the United Nations approved a resolution entitled, “The necessity of ending the economic, commercial, and financial embargo imposed by the United States on Cuba, with 187 votes in favor, 3 against, and 2 abstentions. 

Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs Bruno Rodríguez Parilla addressed the General Assembly, and refuted statements made by the United States representative, stating that the U.S. distorts the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and has no authority to criticize Cuba, or anyone else.

The Cuban delegation that is participating in the 9th Asia Pacific Regional Conference for Solidarity with Cuba in Nepal, headed by Fernando Gonzalez Llort, President of ICAP held a meeting with Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Pashandra), Former Prime Minister of Nepal and current Co-Chair of the Nepal Communist Party. Pashandra expressed that it is an honour to meet Aleida Guevara, daughter of Che Guevara and Fernando Gonzalez, Hero of the Republic of Cuba for all what he has done in favor of the independence and sovereignty of Cuba with his example and resistance during 16 years in prison.

9th Asia-Pacific Regional Conference of Solidarity with Cuba

The Embassy of Cuba is pleased to officialy announce the 9th Asia-Pacific Regional Conference of Solidarity with Cuba, which will be held on 26th  and 27th  July, 2019 in Kathmandu, Nepal. 

This conference is a follow up of the eight previous editions that have been held in the Asia-Pacific region and for the first time it will be developing in Nepal.

Since the beginning of this year the United States State Department has issued several announcements on the partial suspension of the implementation of some aspects of a chapter of the so-called Helms-Burton Act. It has been done so with a cheating style, fraudulent, characteristic of the current rulers, with the clear intention of creating uncertainty and confusion, purpose for which they count, as usual, with the means they were supposed to devote themselves to reporting.
