Declarations of Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs: Cuba has never and will never commit attacks against diplomats
From the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla denounced the decision "unfounded and unacceptable" that the State Department took today by ordering the departure of 15 Cuban diplomats from the United States.
The minister said in Havana that "there is no evidence" of the occurrence, causes and origin of the alleged "incidents" against US government officials in Cuba, which supposedly caused an array of varying health issues.

The State Department announced Friday that it will withdraw more than half of the staff from the US embassy in Cuba after the "incidents" reported by diplomats.Josefina Vidal Ferreiro, director general for the United States of Minrex, emphasized to the press that the Government of Cuba has no responsibility in the alleged facts and it fulfills seriously and rigorously its obligations with the Convention of Vienna on Diplomatic Relations. We consider that the decision announced by the State Department is hasty and will affect bilateral relations.

On the occasion of the commemoration of the International Day for the Elimination of All Nuclear Weapons on 26 September, we wish to recall the Proclamation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a zone of peace, adopted at the CELAC Summit held on 28 and 29 January of 2014 in Havana, which is an important contribution of our region to achieve the elimination of nuclear weapons and the use of force.
