Cuban president begins official visit to Iran

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez began in Tehran on Monday the official activities of his visit to Iran, responding to an invitation by his counterpart, Ayatollah Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, during his stay in Havana. Leading a high-ranking political and economic delegation, the Cuban president arrived at Tehran airport on Sunday and was received by Minister of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education, Bahram Eynollahi. 

Iran and Cuba sign cooperation agreements and memorandums

Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi and his Cuban counterpart, Miguel Díaz-Canel, presided over the signing the cooperation agreements and memorandums in agriculture, livestock, fisheries, mining, and energy. Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez and Iranian Vice President for Scientific and Technological Affairs Ruhollah Dehghani signed the first documents.

Iran and Cuba call to strengthening parliamentary relations

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, head of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, and Cuba President Miguel Díaz-Canel reaffirmed on Monday the will to continue strengthening bilateral relations, especially in the parliamentary field. During a meeting held on Monday, Bagher Ghalibaf stated that Díaz-Canel’s visit to this nation marks a new beginning in the relations between both countries.

Iranian groups in solidarity with Cuba recall Fidel Castro legacy

Iranians in solidarity with Cuba recalled on Sunday Fidel Castro´s anti-imperialism and his stance in favor of the cause of Palestine. At the Cuban embassy in Iran, Ambassador Alberto Gonzalez Casals welcomed representatives of various groups of solidarity with Cuba, while thanking the works of local artists who extolled a figure of Commander Fidel. During the day, archive images were shown revealing the diplomatic relations between the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution and high-ranking Iranian officials as a sign of fraternal relations between the two States.

Cuban President talked to Iranian businessmen

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez talked to representatives of companies and businessmen from the Islamic Republic of Iran at the largest trade fair FIHAV 2023, inaugurated yesterday in Havana. Considered the leading trade fair in Cuba and the Caribbean, the event will be held at EXPOCUBA fairgrounds until November 11 and is a meeting point for all sectors of Cuban economy.
