Dublin, May 2018. The Cuban Ambassador to Ireland, Hugo Rene Ramos Milanes, had an interview with Deputy Brendan Howlin, leader of the Labor Party. Both sides exchanged views on the perspectives for bilateral cooperation opened by the Agreement signed between Ireland and Cuba during President Michael D. Higgins visit to Havana, as well as those offered by the Agreement on political dialogue and cooperation between the European Union and Cuba.
In Dublin gardens will grow a tree that represents the friendship of Cuba.
Dublin April 23, 2018. The Cuban Ambassador to Ireland Hugo Rene Ramos Milanes, together with a group of accredited Head of Diplomatic Missions, participated in the planting of a tree in the Grove of Nations, in the gardens of the famous Farmleigh residence.
It is a tradition destined to cultivate friendship and peaceful coexistence among peoples, as well as care for nature.

Ambassador of Cuba in Ireland holds a meeting with the President of Sinn Féin.
Dublin, April 17, 2018. The Cuban ambassador to Ireland, Hugo René Ramos Milanés held a working meeting with Mary Lou McDonald, president of the Sinn Féin party, in which he delivered a letter sent by comrade José Ramón Balaguer Cabrera, member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Cuba, in charge of international relations. The letter conveys a cordial congratulation to McDonald for her election to the high party position and renews the willingness of the PCC to strengthen the bonds of friendship and collaboration between both political organizations.
