69 years ago, when a group of young revolutionaries led by Fidel, assaulted one of the most formidable bastions of imperialism decadent and despotic rule in our sister country, it provided the hope and impetus to our Cuban brothers and sisters that the criminal and blood-thirsty regime led by its henchman Fulgencio Batista, could be challenged.

The bad weather and the heavy rain did not prevent the members of the Cuban State Mission in Jamaica, Jamaican friends and friends from other latitudes who are part of the movement of solidarity with Cuba, representatives of other organizations and political and social movements, and Cubans residing in Jamaica met at the Embassy of Cuba on the afternoon of Tuesday, July 26, to celebrate the 69th Anniversary of the Assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Garrisons.
