War by other means: the economic blockade of Cuba

Kingston, Jamaica, 22 June 2021. When the majority of humanity citizens through their representation in United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) gather on June 23, 2021, to vote on the resolution entitled the ‘Necessity of ending the economic commercial and financial blockade of Cuba,’ it will mark the 29th consecutive year that a vote against ‘war by other means’, of the 59 year –old criminal blockade of our sister nation has been adopted overwhelmingly, for its unconditional lifting.

We hereby declare our support and solidarity with the heroic people of Cuba, in the face of the policy of economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States government.
A Jamaican politician condemns US blockade against Cuba
Kingston, Jamaica, 21 June 2021. The prominent Jamaican politician Horace Daley denounced in this capital the policy of blockade that the United States government maintains on Cuba.
Other representatives of the People's National Party joined in their voices during a meeting at the headquarters of this Jamaican political force, which was also attended by the Cuban Ambassador to Jamaica.
Jamaica's Minister of Transport receives Cuban diplomat
Kingston, Jamaica, 17 June 2021. The Honourable Robert Montague, Minister of Transport and Mining of Jamaica received the Ambassador of Cuba in that country, Mrs. Inés Fors Fernández, at the Ministry’s headquarters and they had a fraternal meeting.
The Jamaican minister and the Cuban diplomat reviewed the state of cooperation in this sector while expressing interest in exploring new avenues of cooperation in transport matters.
Cuba and Jamaica signed an agreement for cooperation in the sector in 2015.
Jamaica’s Leader of the Opposition praises the historical bonds between his country and Cuba
Kingston, Jamaica, 16 June 2021. The Honourable Mark Golding, President of the People’s National Party of Jamaica (PNP) and Leader of the Opposition in Parliament, received this afternoon the Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica, Mrs. Inés Fors Fernández.
The Jamaican politician praised the bonds of friendship and fellowship that characterize the historical relations between the PNP and the PCC. He expressed his admiration and appreciation for the endurance of the Cuban people and commended the constant solidarity of Cuba with the people of Jamaica over the years.
