Jamaica participates in the Seventh CARICOM-Cuba Summit

Represented by its Prime Minister, the Most Honourable Andrew Holness, and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Senator Kamina Johnson-Smith, Jamaica attended the Seventh Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and Cuba, held virtually on Tuesday, December 8.
Jamaica Peace Council nominates “Henry Reeve” Contingent for 2021 Nobel Peace Prize
Kingston, Jamaica, 7 December 2020. The Norwegian Nobel Committee today notified that the Jamaica Peace Council had completed the formalities required to officially nominate the International Contingent of Doctors Specialized in Disasters and Serious Epidemics "Henry Reeve" as a candidate for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize.
The news was made public by the President of the Jamaica Peace Council, Hope McNish, after receiving the supporting email from the Norwegian institution.

Cuban and Jamaican healthcare companies hold online forum
Kingston, Jamaica, 30 November 2020. Last Friday, a forum was held via videoconference between healthcare companies from Cuba and Jamaica. The meeting, organized by the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba and the Embassy of Cuba in Jamaica, was chaired by Celia Labora, Director of International Relations at the Chamber, and by Ambassador Inés Fors.
