On August 13, the Charge d'Affaires of the Cuban Embassy in Jamaica, Ulises Calvo Borges, gave an interview to Tenement Yaad Media. Speaking about the US economic, commercial and financial blockade on Cuba and its true objectives, he said that the sanctions imposed by former President Donald Trump and their intensification affect the development of the country.
Remembered the Commander in Chief in Jamaica, 95 years after his birth
Kingston, Jamaica, 13 August 2021. In a simple political, cultural and recreational activity, yesterday Friday the Cuban Embassy in Jamaica celebrated the 95th anniversary of the birth of the Commander in Chief of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz.
In strict observance of the protection measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19, the celebration began with an audio-visual presentation about the Commander. Some participants recited poems and told anecdotes and experiences about Fidel. An exquisite Cuban soup enlivened the evening.

Santiago de Cuba receives solidarity donation from Jamaica

Santiago de Cuba, Cuba, 1 August 2021. The province’s health system received today from Jamaica a donation of medical supplies to combat Covid-19, from Cuban health professionals and solidarity activists in that Caribbean nation.
At the Antonio Maceo International Airport, Héctor Mustelier, from the International Relations Department in the provincial division of the Ministry of Public Health, thanked the gesture that provides much-needed means to care for patients infected with the SARS-COV-2 coronavirus.
