Cuban Ambassador meets with the Minister of Health and Wellness of Jamaica
Kingston, Jamaica, 16 October 2020. The Minister of Health and Wellness of Jamaica, Dr. the Honourable Christopher Tufton, had a fruitful virtual meeting yesterday afternoon with the Cuban Ambassador Inés Fors Fernandez. During the exchange, the Jamaican Minister of Health thanked the diplomat for the contribution of the Greatest Island in the Antilles to the public health sector in Jamaica.
Tufton expressed his country’s will to continue promoting exchange and cooperation in the health sector.
Members of the Cuban medical cooperation brigade save more than 5,000 lives in Jamaica
Kingston, Jamaica, 8 October 2020. Members of the Cuban medical cooperation brigade report today in Jamaica 5,881 lives saved and continue to support local efforts to contain the spread of Covid-19 on the front line.
The Embassy of Cuba in Kingston told Prensa Latina that in the last month the medical personnel provided healthcare to 45,115 citizens, while the total number of patients attended from April to August rose up to 270,775.
