Cuban collaborator bid farewell to Lao PDR

Vientiane, September 2024. After more than 4 years of outstanding work at the National University of Laos, NUOL, representing the largest of the Caribbean Antilles, its Education and Culture, the professor of Spanish Language, Luis Mario Zamora, has returned to Cuba. The staff of the Cuban Embassy in the Lao PDR, together with the students of the Spanish unit of the Faculty of Letters, wished him a good trip and success in his new work back home.

Lao students received scholarships to study in Cuban universities

Vientiane, June, 2024. The Embassy of Cuba in Lao PDR said goodbye to the new students from this Southeast Asian country who were studying on the island in the current period 2024-2025.

Ambassador Enna Viant Valdés presented them with the established documentation and shared experiences, enriched by the fruitful exchanges held by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education and Sports, graduates in Cuba, Cuban collaborators and family members, among others present.

Plant friendship tree in Laos to perpetuate bilateral ties

Vientiane, June, 2024.A tree of friendship was planted in Vientiane Park, in this capital, as part of the commemorative activities for the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Laos.

This act “will provide a new and special sense of unity and will constitute a symbol of friendship between our peoples, as we rejoice in half a century of ties that have blossomed into solid relations of brotherhood,” said the Cuban ambassador here, Enna Viant.
