Lao students join the March of the torches.
Vientiane, January 29, 2023. The Cuban Ambassador in Vientiane has sent a greeting to the Lao students who participated in the meaningful torchlight march on January 28, to pay homage to the National Hero in the Marti forge.
The diplomat said she was proud of the university students from Cuba and the world, including those from the Lao PDR, who live important moments in their lives, sharing experiences and the rich historical tradition of an island that is distant in geography but very close and united by bonds of brotherhood and friendship.

Vientiane November 23, 2022. The respective ambassadors of Cuba and Laos Enna Viant Valdes and Vantah Sengmuang, were invited to the videoconference held between the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) and the Lao Women's Union (LWU).
After a long break in face-to-face meetings for various reasons, including the strong global impact caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the exchanges were delayed. Despite them, various alternative contacts were maintained and the year 2022 now closes, with the fruitful dialogue held during this video conference.
President of ICAP Fernando Gonzalez visits Laos

The visit of the president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) constitutes a special moment to strengthen the historical and friendly ties with Laos, appreciated today the ambassador of the island here, Enna Viant. Upon his arrival, he was received by the vice president of the National Assembly and head of the Lao Council for Peace and Friendship, Sommad Pholsena, who assured that he was honored by the visit of the Cuban hero.
