The President of the Lebanese Republic Michel Aoun, the Prime Minister Saad Hariri and the Speaker of the National Assembly have send congratulatory messages to the new President of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel

Beirut, May 24.- The President of the Lebanese Republic, Michel Aoun, conveyed a message of congratulations to the newly elected President of the Council of State and Ministers of Cuba Migue Díaz-Canel Bermúdez. In it President Aoun expressed his congratulations for the confidence gained by Díaz-Canel to lead Cuba and wished him success in his new responsibilities to achieve the aspirations of the Cuban people.

Lebanon and Cuba explore media cooperation

Beirut, April 26th. (PL-EmbaCuba Líbano) The director of the National News Agency (ANN), of Lebanon, Laure Sleiman Saab, and the Cuban Ambassador in Beirut, Miguel Porto Parga, explored today opportunities for media cooperation.

In a courtesy meeting at the ANN headquarters, Sleiman and Porto talked about projects to bring the two countries closer to the information.

Founded in 1961, the ANN has offices in Australia, Syria and several within Lebanese territory.

Cubans resident in Lebanon celebrated the anniversaries of the "José Martí" Pioneers Organization and the Union of Young Communists

Beirut, 8 abr (PL-EmbaCuba Líbano) Cubans residents in Lebanon celebrated the anniversaries of the "José Martí" Pioneers Organization and the Union of Young Communists with Cuban dances and collective games at the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy in this capital. In the introductory speech, the Cuban Ambassador Miguel Porto Parga highlighted the strong patriotic feelings of the Cuban community in Lebanon and the importance of keeping them in the younger generations. Also expressed solidarity with the Brazilian leader, Luiz Ignacio Lula da Silva, who faces an unjust prison sentence.

Ambassador of Cuba corroborated the acceptance of Cuban charcoal in Lebanese market

 

The Ambassador of Cuba, Miguel Porto Parga, on a tour in Chtoura, a town in the Bekaa Governorate, visited the "El Cubano" store, which specializes in the sale of marabou charcoal imported from the Cuba. The businessman Ali El Bast, owner of the establishment, explained to the Cuban diplomat the high demand that the Cuban product has among the restaurants in the area, mainly because of its aroma and durability.
