Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association issued Declaration against the blockade.

Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association expressed its rejection to the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the US government to Cuba, in a statement last October 29 statement. The initiative, promoted and organized by Liberians graduates in Cuba who are also members of the Organization, was signed on behalf of all by his vicepresident, Bachelor of Physical Culture Kesselee Kanneh, a graduate of the Institute of Physical Culture Comandante Manuel Fajardo of Cuba.

Saturday October 22th  Liberians graduates in Cuba were invited to the headquarters of the Cuban diplomatic mission in that African country. The purpose of the meeting was the celebration of the Day of Cuban Culture.During the meeting, the Second Secretary Carmen Maury referred to the historic passage was genesis of this commemoration and its significance for the people of Cuba.

The headquarters of the Cuban diplomatic mission opened its doors to young Kolubah Zeyzey and Daniel Ankrah, deputy editor and producer respectively, of the Liberia Broadcasting System state broadcaster. They were received by the Charge d'Affaires Yordenis Despaigne Vera and Second Secretary Carmen Maury. The meeting is part of the actions of Cuban diplomatic mission to diversify and deepen relations with the Liberian media press and denounce the damages caused by the United States blockade against Cuba.

Liberians Newspapers The New Dawn and Daily Observer echoed Cuba's struggle against the blockade.

In its editions of September 30 and October 3, Liberians daily The New Dawn and Daily Observer respectively, devoted a section of its pages to Cuba and its struggle against the blockade. Both publications socialized information transferred in a recent press conference by the Charge d'Affaires of Cuba in Liberia, Yordenis Despaigne Vera, on economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed for more than fifty years unilaterally by the government of the United States against Cuba.
