President of Mongolia congratulates the new President of Cuba Miguel Mario Díaz Canel Bermúdez.
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. April 24, 2018. The President of Mongolia, Hon. Mr. Khaltmaagiin Battulga, congratulated the new President of the Councils of State and Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, Cro. Miguel Mario Díaz Canel Bermúdez for his nomination to the head of the Cuban executive. The President of Mongolia noted in his letter of congratulations the following:
Esteban Lazo, reelected as President of the National Assembly
"I thank you in the name of deputies Mari and Brito, and my own, for the honor you confer upon us by electing us to such high positions," said Esteban Lazo Hernández, elected unanimously as President of the National Assembly of People's Power, today April 18.
During the first hours of the Assembly's constituent session, the National Candidatures Commission proposed: "For President, Juan Esteban Lazo Hernández, who has efficiently fulfilled this responsibility over the last five years. His efforts and the progress made have been recognized."
Miguel Mario Díaz-Canel Bermúdez nominated as candidate for President of the Council of State
National Assembly deputies approved proposed candidacies for the Council of State and its leadership, today April 18, and will vote tomorrow,
Miguel Mario Díaz Canel Bermúdez was nominated for President of the Council of State, and his outstanding career emphasized.
Díaz Canel was born in the province of Villa Clara and graduated as an Electronics Engineer in 1982.
He was a member of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, and a professor at Martha Abreu Central University of Las Villas.

Cubans resdents in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, commemorated on Sunday, at the new headquarters of the Cuban Embassy in Mongolia, the 57th Anniversary of the defeat of the mercenary invasion of Playa Girón. Accompanied by the new Cuban medical specialists who recently began their work in the INTERMED Hospital of this capital, Cuban residents hoisted our national flag by singing the hymn notes in the new headquarters of the Cuban diplomatic mission.
