Embassy of Cuba in Mongolia honored the Mongolian women and the Ambassadors on the occasion of International Women's Day
The Ambassador of Cuba in Mongolia, Jorge Ferrer, paid tribute and congratulated the Mongolian women in the area of international relations and Ambassadors on the occasion of the Women´s International Day.
The activity was attended by the Vice Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs, officials from various institutions and companies related to Cuba and the Ambassadors of the European Union, Italy, Canada and UNDP.

Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
On 27 February 2023, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Carlos Fernández de Cossío, summoned the United States Chargé D’Affaires, Benjamin Ziff, to the Ministry, to formally convey Cuba’s vigorous protest at the granting of political asylum to the Cuban citizen Rubén Martínez Machado, perpetrator of the hijacking of a Cuban civil aircraft on 21 October 2022.

:- I think you have celebrated the Mongolian traditional holiday Tsagaan Sar /Lunar New Year/. How did you celebrate Lunar New Year last year?
- We have celebrated Tsagaan Sar in 2022 with some of our closest friends. They are graduated professionals from Cuban universities in a program of free scholarships that Cuba have with Mongolia and several other brother Developing Countries since 1963 that have graduated around 140 Mongolians. We ate some food, drank, talked, hear music and shared funny jokes and anecdotes of their stay in Cuba and mine here.
Tribute from the Cuban Embassy in Mongolia and the José Martí School for the 170th Anniversary of the birth of the National Hero of Cuba
The conmemoration of the 170th Anniversary of the birth of the National Hero of Cuba ended with a cultural event at School #52, José Martí, in Ulan Bator. The date could not be celebrated on January 28 due to the winter school holidays.
The event was presided over by the Ambassador of Cuba in Mongolia, Jorge Ferrer and the Director of that institution, Mrs. Tserenkhand Lumben who pronounced the central statetements, before the bust of Martí that perpetuates his memory. The Cuban Ambassador also laid flowers before the sculpture.
The Cuban ambassador in Mongolia met with the Vice Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs
The Ambassador of Cuba in Mongolia, Jorge Ferrer, met yesterday with the H.E. Mrs SOLONGOO Bayarsaikhan, Deputy Minister of Justice and Home Affairs. The director of the Department of International Treaties and Foreign Cooperation of the Ministry, Mr. Bilguun Burentegsh, was also present.
Both parties discussed the progress of the negotiation of various Agreements on mutual legal assistance and bilateral legal cooperation, some of which are in the final stage.
