Waitangi. On the occasion of the National Day of New Zealand, Ambassador of Cuba, Maria del Carmen Herrera Caseiro, held a brief meeting with the Governor General, Hon. Mr. Lieutenant General Sir. Jerry Mateparae, at which time he moved congratulations on behalf of the Cuban government and people for the commemoration of the 175th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi, historical fact that marks the celebration of the national holiday in New Zealand.
