Mayor of Rotorua confirms interest in promoting ties with Cuba
March 9, 2017. - During a meeting with Cuban Ambassador Mario Alzugaray, Rotorua Mayor Steve Chadwick confirmed her city's interest in promoting closer ties with Cuba. The meeting took place within the framework of the celebration of the Aotearoa Cuba Festival, an event that brings together core representation of Cuban music and dance in New Zealand.

Rotorua, March 5, 2017.- With the presence of more than a dozen Cuban artists based in the South Pacific, took place the 2017 edition of the Aotearoa Cuba Festival. Enthusiasts and followers of Cuban music in New Zealand gathered in Rotorua, an eminently touristic city famous for its geothermal activity and its innumerable geysers.
