Antonio Guerrero’s painting exhibition inaugurated in New Zealand

Dunedin, March 22, 2016. The New Zealand-Cuba Friendship Association, organized and opened this afternoon an art exhibition called "Yo me muero como viví” or as in English, “I die as I lived”. This exhibition presented a set of masterful paintings from the collection of the Hero of the Republic of Cuba, Mr. Antonio Guerrero, during his unjust imprisonment in US jails.

Great Success of Aotearoa Cuban Festival

With broad participation of young Cubans artists from New Zealand and Australia, was held between 4th and 6th of March the Aotearoa Cuban Festival. As has been a tradition in recent years, the city of Rotorua served as host to this festival, establishing itself as an important event in New Zealand’s summer cultural calendar.

Cubans living in this city, did not hesitate for a moment of the opportunity that this festival was bringing, and they showed to all the residents of this welcoming town, the diversity and cultural wealth of their country of origin, Cuba.

Minister of health of New Zealand receives Ambassador of Cuba

Wellington, March 3, 2016. The Minister of Health of New Zealand, Jonathan Coleman, received a courtesy call from the Ambassador of Cuba, HE Mario Alzugaray. In the meeting, held at the government headquarters in the Beehive, both parties exchanged on the health systems of their countries and the challenges faced in order to provide better service to its citizens.

During the exchange, the Cabinet Minister offer introductory information on the work of research, education and preparation against earthquakes, as well as his role in Parliament.
