FitCuba 2017 to be held in Holguín
Manuel Marrero, Cuba’s Minister of Tourism, reported that the 37th International Tourism Fair (FitCuba 2017), will beheld from May 3-6 in the eastern province of Holguín, while Germany will feature as guest country of honor.
In a post on the official Ministry of Tourism (Mintur) Facebook page, Marrero noted that the event will be dedicated to tourist excursions, one of the modalities promoted on the island, which received four million visitors last year.
Latin American ambassadors to promote trade links with New Zealand
Wellington April 18, 2017. In a meeting with the Minister of Trade, Todd McClay, the ambassadors of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Cuba and Mexico, expressed their interest in promoting greater economic and trade ties between Latin America and New Zealand.
The kiwi Minister explained the details of the newly announced Trade Agenda 2030, with which New Zealand intends to achieve greater access and exchanges for its business community at the global level. McClay also commented on the priority granted to the expansion of contacts with Latin America.
Tribute to Raul Roa on the 110th Anniversary of his Birth
Havana, Cuba, Apr 18 (acn) Raul Roa, known as the "Foreign Minister of Dignity", was honored on Tuesday in Havana on the 110th anniversary of his birth.
Family and friends placed a floral wreath, symbol of respect and admiration for his great intellect and loyal revolutionary of Cuba's sovereignty, before a bust in his memory at the headquarters of the Cuban Association of the United Nations (ACNU).
Cuban doctors complete English training program in New Zealand
Wellington, 11 of April 2017.- As a result of a cooperation agreement signed in February 2014, a group of four Cuban doctors in their way to provide assistance in the Pacific Islands, completed an English training course, funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of New Zealand.
The ten-week training course, took place at Bay of Plenty English Language School, located in the northern city of Tauranga.
The Cuban doctors are already in the Kiribati and Vanuatu, where they have join the Cuban medical teams present at these nations.
