New Zealand Film Festival Arrives in Havana
Nearly a dozen of full-length films and eight short films from New Zealand complete the selection of the First Festival dedicated to the cinematography of the southern country in Havana, confirmed today the organizers of this festival.
From May 31 to June 4, the rooms of the Infanta Cinema, located in city centre of Havana, will host the exhibition of the selected productions, with the objective to show a new light on the production of the contemporary history of New Zealand, as well as on its current social and cultural framework.

Wellington, May 24 2017- Cuban Ambassador to New Zealand, Mario Alzugaray, paid a courtesy visit to Chairman of the Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Committee at New Zealand Parliament, Todd Muller. During the meeting, held at Parliament Office, both sides had a candid and insightful exchange on diverse world affairs, as well as issues related to the interest of both nations to further improved bilateral links.

Cuban experience in cooperatives presented at Workers Day event in Blackball
Blackball, May 1st 2017.- On the occasion Workers Day celebrations, the Ambassador of Cuba, Mario Alzugaray, took part in a seminar on the current situation and future scenarios for the West Coast. Also addressing the audience were Damian O´Conor and Julie - Ann Genter, MP´s from Labour and Green, respectively. The Mayor of Greymouth, Tony Kokshoorn and known filmmaker and activist Paul Maunder, also attended the event.
