Oslo, May 1, 2026. The Embassy of Cuba in Oslo had the honor of joining our comrades from the Communist Party of Norway in the ceremony honoring the Norwegian antifascist and communist fighters who fell during World War II in the fight against the Nazi occupation.
Paulius Eidukas, Secretary of the Party in Oslo and Akershus, in his address denounced the dangerous resurgence of fascist ideas, the aggressiveness of U.S. imperialism, and the complicity of political forces in the West.
Cuba International Tourism Fair.
FITCuba 2026, an event with history and a vision for the future.
The leading international tourism event in the largest of the Antilles will be presented this year in a virtual format.
This 44th edition of FITCuba will take place from May 7th to 9th and will be dedicated to Varadero, Cuba's iconic sun and beach destination.
On May 7th and 8th, professional business sessions will be held through a specialized virtual platform.
On May 9th, the event will be open to the general public and will take place in person at Josone Park in Varadero.
Solidarity Concert with Cuba.
Sponsored by the Norwegian-Cuban Friendship Association and with the support of other solidarity organizations, a concert in solidarity with the Cuban Revolution was held at the Nordic Black Theatre in Oslo. A group of Norwegian and Latin American artists residing in Norway volunteered their time to delight the audience with their art.
The concert was part of a noble objective embraced by the Norwegian-Cuban Friendship Association: raising funds to purchase solar panels for installation in medical facilities in Cuba.
The Fall of the Last Colonial Empire in Africa.
The book “The Fall of the Last Colonial Empire in Africa: Cuba and the Wars of Independence of Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde”, promoted by the Cape Verdean Association in Norway and the Norwegian Council for Africa, was presented in Oslo.
Published by Pathfinder, the book is authored by Commander Víctor Dreke Cruz, whose message to the audience was read by the Cuban ambassador.

Cuba lives under the constant siege of the United States government, whose threats have escalated in recent months. Adding to the ruthless energy siege—which has worsened the genocidal blockade policy over the past six decades—are statements by representatives of the U.S. governmental elite threatening military aggression.
The human and material cost of that blockade is a shame borne by the greatest empire in history.
