Cuba lives under the constant siege of the United States government, whose threats have escalated in recent months. Adding to the ruthless energy siege—which has worsened the genocidal blockade policy over the past six decades—are statements by representatives of the U.S. governmental elite threatening military aggression.
Cuban Ambassador Meets with Secretary General of the Saint Lucia Labour Party
Rodney Bay, April 8, 2026 – A fruitful exchange took place between the Cuban Ambassador to Saint Lucia, Yenielys Vilma Regueiferos Linares, and the Secretary General of the Saint Lucia Labour Party, Leo Clarke. The complex situation in Cuba due to the tightening of the blockade, particularly in the energy sector, and solidarity with the Cuban people were the focus of the discussion.

Saint Lucia and other Caribbean Community (CARICOM) member-states have bucked the backlash from premature and misplaced criticism by the usual hasty public commentators who never fail to grasp every opportunity to wash their tongues on the regional body.
Understandably happy about the high level of symbolic solidarity shown by delegations of international solidarity brigades that arrived in Havana last weekend with humanitarian support, some among them obviously allowed their jubilant enthusiasm to overcome their senses of judgment.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba rejects in the strongest terms the arbitrary and unjustified decision by the government of Ecuador to expel all personnel from the Cuban Embassy in that country.
On March 4, 2026, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility of the Republic of Ecuador informed, through a Verbal Note, of its decision to declare all diplomatic, consular, and administrative personnel of the Cuban Embassy in Quito persona non grata, without providing any justification, and gave them 48 hours to leave Ecuadorian territory.
