The flags of Cuba and Saint Lucia were displayed together this Saturday, August 15th, at the top of Gros Piton. The Ambassador, Alejandro Simancas and his family, along with more than forty members of the Cuban Medical Brigade working in Saint Lucia, climbed to the top of this emblematic and beautiful mountain.

The Saint Lucia-Cuba Humanistic Solidarity Association (HSA) joins the people and Government of Cuba in observance of the 94th Anniversary of the birth of their immortal leader, the late President and Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro. He will remain a revolutionary icon, in our hearts, our souls and our spirits forever.  HSA still remembers him in a very special way and again express our profound gratitude to the Government and people of Cuba, for continuing to develop and honour the revolution for which Fidel fought and died.

The Cuban medical Brigade in St Lucia celebrates the national rebellion day with the Minister of Health and wellness.

The 67th anniversary of the attack to the Moncada Barracks was remembered by the Henry Reeve Brigade in Saint Lucia, in the company of the Minister of Health and Wellness, the Honorable Mary Isaac. Members of the Cuban medical brigade, who are assisting Saint Lucia in the fight to the Covid 19 pandemic, celebrated the historic date in an activity in which also participated the Ambassador, Alejandro Simancas, who spoke about the pride as Cubans for our history.

The Humanistic Solidarity Association Saint Lucia-Cuba urges CARICOM to continue supporting Cuban medical assistance.

The Humanistic Solidarity Association Saint Lucia-Cuba(HSA) released an statement saluting the people and government of the Republic of Cuba on the 67th Anniversary of the July 26, 1953 attack on the Moncada Barracks in Santiago. That date and event led to the formation of the July 26 Movement, which led the national rebellion against the Batista dictatorship, that eventually led to the triumph of the Cuban Revolution six years later, on January 1, 1959.

Santa Lucia participates in a virtual Caribbean meeting of Solidarity with Cuba.

A virtual Caribbean meeting of solidarity with Cuba was held on July 22 and included the participation of Peter Lansiqot, Vice President of the Humanitarian Solidarity Association Cuba Santa Lucia, as well as representatives of friendly organizations from different Caribbean countries. The meeting was dedicated to the 67th anniversary of the assault on the Moncada barracks (July 26, 1953) and the 60th anniversary of the Cuban Institute of friendship with the peoples (ICAP).
