January 1st, 2019, Saint Lucia: The members of the Cuba’s State Mission Group in Saint Lucia, headed by Ambassador Alejandro Simancas Marin, celebrated the new year and the 60th Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution on January 1st ; the Cuba national day.

The Governor General of Saint Lucia, His Excellency Sir Emmanuel Neville Cenac, presented on December 6, 2018, at the Government House, the Saint Lucia Medal of Honor (Gold) to Ambassador Jorge Francisco Soberon Luis, in recognition of Cuba's contribution to the development of Saint Lucia.
Cuba and Saint Lucia Sign Agricultural Agreement

The Saint Lucian Minister responsible for Agriculture, the Honorable Ezechiel Joseph, signed on October 5, 2018 the Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Agriculture of Cuba (MINAGRI), which was represented by Ambassador Jorge Francisco Soberon Luis.
During the signing ceremony of the agreement, the Saint Lucian Minister mentioned the satisfactory results of his visit to Cuba in 2018 to evaluate the exchange opportunities.
