Cuba Categorically Rejects Claims of Participation in the Conflict in Ukraine

Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs 

The Government of the Republic of Cuba rejects the mendacious allegations being spread by the United States Government concerning an alleged involvement of Cuba in the military conflict in Ukraine. This is a slanderous accusation first launched in 2023 by certain media outlets without offering any evidence or substantiation of any kind, and clearly serving an assigned purpose. 

Cuba’s massive rally demands end of Genocide in Palestine

Havana, Oct 9 (Prensa Latina) More than 100,000 residents of the capital, representing the Cuban people, demanded an end to the Israeli genocide in Palestine during a mass rally at the Jose Marti Anti-Imperialist Tribune, led by President Miguel Diaz-Canel.

The event was also attended by senior Cuban government officials, the charge d’affaires of the Palestinian Embassy in Havana, Majed Abu Al Hawa, young Palestinians studying at universities on the Caribbean island, and representatives of Cuban civil society organizations.

Military action against Venezuela must be stopped

The Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs has once again warned of “the growing escalation by the United States government against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, whose clear aim is to overthrow the constitutional government of President Nicolás Maduro Moros.”

Tribute to Mahatma Gandhi in Seychelles

Victoria, October 2nd._ The Cuban Ambassador Martha Hernández Caneiro participated in the tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on the 156th anniversary of his birth.

As every year, the tribute was organized by the Indian High Commissioner in Victoria and took place in Freedom Park, which houses the monument in memory of the hero and leader of India's struggle for independence.

Cuba rejects imposition of Monroe Doctrine at Summit of the Americas

The Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, expressed his deep concern and rejection of the decision imposed by the US government on the Dominican Republic to exclude Cuba and other countries from the 10th Summit of the Americas, scheduled for December 4 and 5 in Punta Cana.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Cuban Foreign Ministry described the measure as a capitulation to unilateral pressure from the U.S. Secretary of State, consolidating a historic regression in the system of hemispheric summits.
