The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba rejects in the strongest terms the arbitrary and unjustified decision by the government of Ecuador to expel all personnel from the Cuban Embassy in that country.

Statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On March 4, 2026, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility of the Republic of Ecuador, through a diplomatic note, announced its decision to declare all diplomatic, consular, and administrative personnel of the Cuban Embassy in Quito persona non grata, without providing any justification, and gave them 48 hours to leave Ecuadorian territory.

This is an unfriendly and unprecedented act that significantly damages the historic relations of friendship and cooperation between both countries and peoples.

Cuban Deputies Condemn Aggression Against Iran

Statement from the International Relations Committee of the National Assembly of People's Power

The members of the International Relations Committee of the National Assembly of People's Power of the Republic of Cuba strongly condemn the aggression by the governments of the United States and Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran, which violates the Charter of the United Nations, International Law, and the sovereignty of states.

Ambassador Alina Aldama participated in the review of the Primary Health Care (PHC) brigade in Timor-Leste.

In the presence of health officials from the capital municipality where the medical brigade members work, offering their expertise in primary health care, along with the brigade's head, Dr. Andrés Villara Bahamonde, the director of the Higher School of Medicine, Dr. Diamela Henríquez Navarro, and other members of the medical management council, the coordinator, Dr. Daniel Armas Cruz, presented the brigade's work and its projections.
