Cairo, August 10, 2025. Cuban Ambassador to Egypt, Alexander Pellicer Moraga, visited the Shefa Al Orman Oncology Hospital located in the southern Egyptian city of Luxor.
During the tour of the facility, the Ambassador of the Greater of the Antilles was able to confirm that the hospital has advanced medical equipment and a highly qualified staff.
Cuba and Egypt reaffirm willingness to develop cooperation in the field of health and drug production

Cuban Ambassador to Egypt, Alexander Pellicer Moraga, was received this afternoon, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Health and Population, by Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the health sector.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar highlighted the depth and strength of the historical relations between Egypt and Cuba, noting that the cultural and human ties between the two countries constitute a solid basis for developing cooperation in various fields, especially in the health sector. He expressed his desire to strengthen strategic alliances that benefit the interests of both friendly peoples.
