Cuba Day celebrated at Badr University in Cairo
Cairo, December 9, 2025. Students and professors from the Spanish Department at Badr University in Cairo celebrated Cuba Day with the Cuban ambassador to Cairo, Alexander Pellicer Moraga, and other embassy officials in attendance. The Cuban diplomats spoke with professors and students about the culture, history, and traditions of the Caribbean nation.
During the meeting at the university's headquarters in the capital, the Cuban ambassador reviewed his country's history and various aspects of its society, including literature and sports.
Cuban Ambassador to Egypt visits headquarters of the Organization of Solidarity with Afro-Asian Peoples
Cairo, December 4, 2025. The Cuban Ambassador to Egypt, Alexander Pellicer Moraga, visited the headquarters of the Afro-Asian Peoples' Solidarity Organization (AAPSO) yesterday to discuss the strengthening of Afro-Asian-Latin American cooperation.
The Cuban ambassador was received by Mohamed El-Orabi, president of AAPSO, with whom he discussed mechanisms and actions to strengthen cooperation between the organization and Latin American countries, especially Cuba, in accordance with common objectives that promote the value of humanity and solidarity among peoples.
Cuban Ambassador to Egypt denounces Washington's aggressive policy against his country and Latin America
Cairo, November 30, 2025. In an exclusive interview with the Egyptian newspaper Misr 30/6, the Cuban Ambassador to Egypt denounced the aggressive policy of the United States against his country and Latin America and the Caribbean.
He also addressed the historic relations of friendship and cooperation between Cuba and Egypt and the situation in Palestine and the Middle East region.

Cuban Embassy in Egypt participates in exhibition on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women
Cairo, November 25, 2025. As part of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the Cuban Embassy in Cairo participated in a photographic exhibition of prominent Ibero-American women in the arts and the fight against gender violence.
Cuba presented the renowned Cuban singer-songwriter Rochy Ameneiro, an artist whose lyrics address the status of women, the need for female empowerment, and the fight against violence.
Cuba participates in Latin American film festival in Cairo
Cairo, November 24, 2025. Cuba will be represented by the feature film Habanastation at the Latin American and Caribbean film festival to be held at the Sadat Institute in Cairo from November 23 to December 8.
Ten countries are participating in the film festival, which is organized each year by the Latin American and Caribbean embassies accredited in Egypt, with films that showcase the culture and reality of our nations, which will contribute to a greater understanding of our peoples by the Egyptians who will attend the screenings.
