Cuban ambassador participates in meeting of Latin American heads of mission with Egyptian foreign minister

Cairo, November 10, 2025. The Cuban ambassador to Egypt, Alexander Pellicer Moraga, participated alongside heads of mission from Latin America and the Caribbean in a meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister welcomed the ambassadors and expressed his deep gratitude for the historic friendship with the peoples and nations of Latin America, while reaffirming Egypt's commitment to building strong relations with various regional partners, highlighting Egypt's pride in its cultural and humanitarian ties with the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean.

Vice President of the ANPP International Relations Commission meets with leaders of the Egypt-Cuba Friendship Association.

Cairo, November 2, 2025. The Vice President of the International Relations Commission of the National Assembly of People's Power, Rolando González Patricio, held a cordial meeting with leaders of the Egypt-Cuba Friendship Association.

During the meeting, they discussed the complex situation on the island resulting from the intensification of the blockade. They also highlighted Cuba's new victory at the UN despite strong pressure from Washington to undermine support for the Cuban resolution against the US blockade of the island.

Vice President of the ANPP International Relations Commission holds meeting with Egyptian parliamentarians

Cairo, November 2, 2025. The Vice President of the International Relations Commission of the National Assembly of People's Power, Rolando González Patricio, held a productive meeting with Egyptian parliamentarians.

During the meeting, González Patricio updated his counterparts on the complex situation in Cuba due to the intensification of the blockade. He also explained the Cuban electoral system and the constitution of its Parliament.

Cairo, November 1, 2025. The President of PARLATINO and Vice President of the International Relations Commission of the National Assembly of People's Power, Rolando González Patricio, paid tribute to Cuban National Hero José Martí and other Latin American heroes in Liberty Park in Cairo.

González Patricio, who is fulfilling an invitation from the Arab Parliament, has developed a productive work agenda during his stay in Egypt, which includes his participation in the inaugural session of the Arab Parliament and meetings with Egyptian parliamentarians and members of the Egypt-Cuba Friendship Association.

Egyptian media expose damage caused by US blockade of Cuba

Cairo, October 26, 2025. A dozen Egyptian newspapers have reported on the press conference given on October 22 by Cuban Ambassador Alexander Pellicer Moraga.

The published articles reported that on October 28, Cuba will once again submit to a vote in the UN General Assembly a draft resolution calling for an end to the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States. They also highlighted the great damage caused by the blockade imposed on Cuba for more than six decades, which at current prices amounts to more than $170.677 billion, equivalent to $2.1 trillion at the value of gold.
