Cuban delegation present at the 3rd International Mathematics Summer Camp

Canberra, 23 June 2025. The Cuban team that will participate in the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) 2025, in Sunshine Coast, Australia, is already in China.

The team, composed of 6 young people and the outstanding Mathematics coach, Professor Prudencio Guerrero, will be at the 3rd International Mathematics Summer Camp (IMCS) 2025 from June 20 to July 12.

The camp will serve as a training base for young people from around the world who will be participating in the IMO in Australia.

Cuban ambassador exchanges with new Lao ambassador to Australia

Canberra, 13 June 2025. The Cuban Ambassador Tanieris Diéguez met with the new ambassador of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Australia, Chatoulong Bouasisavath.

The meeting took place in a cordial and relaxed atmosphere.  

Both officials exchanged on issues of common interest. They also discussed their ideas to further strengthen bilateral relations between both countries.

Third Secretary participates in Ecuador's flag-raising ceremony at the Latin American Square

Canberra, May 26, 2025. The Third Secretary of the Cuban Embassy in Australia, Ivianes Gonzalez, participated in an emotional ceremony of raising the flag of Ecuador, held at the Latin American Plaza in Canberra, in commemoration of Ecuador's Independence Day.

Members of the diplomatic corps, Australian authorities and members of the Ecuadorian community residing in the capital were present.

Friends of Cuba Say NO to the Blockade in Sydney.

Sydney, 17 May 2025. Friends of Cuba and members of the Solidarity movement demonstrated today in Sydney against the Blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba.

Cuban flags and signs with slogans such as ‘Hands Off Cuba’ were seen as a show of solidarity and affection from the Australian people towards the Cuban people.
