The President and other ICAP officials meet with members of the solidarity movement in Australia.

Canberra, 12 May 2026. The president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), Fernando González, along with other officials from the institution, held a videoconference with representatives of the Solidarity movement with Cuba in Australia.

Also participating were the Cuban Ambassador to Australia, Gilma Moreira Lino, and members of the Cuban Diplomatic Mission.

The Executive Order of May 1st and the blockade measures announced today further increase the harm to the Cuban Population and reinforce the threat of aggression.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejects, in the strongest possible terms, the Executive Order issued by the White House on May 1st, 2026, which tightens, to unprecedented and extreme levels, the economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba.

We, the deputies who are members of the International Relations Committee of the National Assembly of People’s Power of the Republic of Cuba, reject the new Executive Order issued by the President of the United States, which intensifies the economic war and aims to further exacerbate the illegal and immoral collective punishment of the Cuban people.

Cuban Ambassador meets with Senator David Shoebridge

Canberra, 6 May 2026. The Cuban Ambassador to Australia, Gilma Moreira Lino, met with David Shoebridge, a Green Party senator representing the state of New South Wales, who is responsible for foreign affairs, among other issues.

Staff of the Cuban Embassy in Australia join the #MiFirmaPorLaPatria Initiative

Canberra, 27 April 2026. Today, the staff of the Cuban Diplomatic Mission in Australia joined the #MiFirmaPorLaPatria initiative, a call to action launched by our mass and social organizations, as well as other actors in the Cuban civil society, under the hashtag #UnidosXCuba.

Affirming our commitment to the Cuban Revolution, the Revolutionary Diplomacy is committed to peace, the unity of the people, and the unwavering determination to defend Cuba’s independence and territorial integrity.
