With the presence of the Minister of Health, Dr. A.Tsogtsetseg, a Letter of Intent was signed this morning between the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB) of Cuba and the Central Hospital No. 1 of Mongolia which reflects the intention of both institutions to promote medical programs and therapies based on Cuban biotechnological medicines. The document was signed by the Cuban side by Dr. Eulogio Pimentel, Director of the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, and by the Mongolian side the General Director of Central Hospital No.

Dominica, Roseau, March 15, 2017. The Cuban Ambassador to Dominica, Juan Carlos Frómeta de la Rosa, received the Secretary General of the Dominica Labor Party (DLP), Honorable Senator Edward Registrar, on a courtesy visit.

During the fraternal encounter, both figures recognized the excellent state of bilateral relations. They emphasized the expansion of collaboration, not only in terms of health, but also in terms of construction, as well as potential perspectives in other areas, such as the environment, climate change, risk reduction, among others.

NIGERIA, March 15, 2017. On the occasion of the reception offered by the Apostolic Nunciature in Abuja for the Third Anniversary of the Papacy of Francis, Vatican Radio interviewed the Ambassador of Cuba in Nigeria.
 
The questions were about the meaning of his Pontificate for Cuba and for the world. The Ambassador referred to his constant struggle for justice, his criticisms of oppression and for the dispossessed.

Prime Minister of Sri Lanka receives Cuban Ambassador

SRI LANKA, March 15, 2017. - The Honorable Ranil Wickremesinghe, Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, received the Cuban Ambassador, Juana Elena Ramos Rodríguez, at his official residence of Temple Trees.

During the meeting, the historic ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries were highlighted, as well as the interest of both sides to continue developing them. The Prime Minister also referred to the figure of the Commander-in-Chief and his work in favor of the Cuban people.

Cuba and Austria take cooperation between their Ministries of Justice forward

The Federal Minister for Justice of the Republic of Austria, Mr. Wolfgang Brandstetter received the Cuban delegation led by the Deputy-minister for Justice Mr. Francisco Eduardo García Henríquez in the headquarters of the Austrian ministry. It was a fruitful meeting in which both parties ratify their will to take their existing cooperation relation forward through the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the ministers of both countries in December 2015.

President of Parliament of Malaysia receives Cuban Ambassador

Kuala Lumpur, March 15 – The Speaker of the House of Representatives (lower house of the Malaysian parliament) Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Pandikar Amin Haji Mulia, welcomed the Cuban ambassador to Malaysia, Ibete Fernandez.

During the cordial meeting, the parties discussed the functioning of parliaments in both countries and the possibilities of developing bilateral relations in that sector. The head of the Malaysian Parliament, convey to the ambassador his desire to visit Cuba.

Information Note: Remodeling of the Cuban Consular Section in Austria (with jurisdiction in Slovenia and Croatia)

As it was previously announced, the offices of the Cuban Consular Section in Austria shall be structurally remodeled in order to provide our users with a better comfort and security to deliver a better service. The remodeling work shall start on Monday, April 3rd, 2017 and they shall continue during all that month of April.
