Biotechnology delegation begins visit to Mongolia.

Ulaanbaatar. March 13, 2017. The delegation of the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology of Cuba began its working week today with meetings with health authorities, pharmaceutical companies and businessmen interested in the products and therapies developed by the Center. Accompanied by Cuban Ambassador Raúl Delgado Concepción, specialists Dr. Manuel Raíces, Business Executive of the CIGB and Dr. Abel Hernández, Head of Department of Plant Biotechnology held meetings with the two largest Mongolian pharmaceutical companies IVCO LLC, EM-Impex Concern and "Monos Pharm "LLC and a group of businessmen from the sector convened by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Mongolia.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of Namibia received the Cuban Ambassador.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of Namibia, Hon. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, received the Cuban ambassador Giraldo Mazola on Friday, March 10 at the Chancellery's headquarters.

Both diplomats reviewed the state of political, economic and cooperation relations between the two countries and exchanged views on future actions to reinforce them.

They also conversed about the practical steps to immediately convene the 5th Continental Conference of Solidarity with Cuba in Windhoek to be held next June. To this end, the National Organizing Committee will be set up to begin its work this month.

The Ambassador thanked the Minister for the willingness to organize the Conference, a beautiful gesture that is part of the permanent solidarity of Namibia with Cuba since the independence of the African country

The Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, presented the Second Protocol of the Economic Cooperation Agreement between CARICOM and the Republic of Cuba to Colin Granderson, the assistant general secretary of this regional mechanism.
This document expands the tariff preferences granted by Cuba in 2000 to the Commonwealth of Caribbean Nations, including 340 new Caribbean products with free access to the national market, while granting preferences to 85 of the Cuban side.

The Greater Caribbean is a well-defined geographic space, with a strategic position between North and South of Our America, with a common history, where small islands tighten intense cultural ties and cooperation.
The States that make up the Caribbean Basin have always remained among Cuba's main trading partners, they reached out to us when others tried to isolate us. Last March 11, the Cultural Association José Marti of Solidarity with Cuba, celebrated the International Women Day in the headquarter of the Editorial Diethness Vima (International Foro) in the center of Athens, where it was highlighted the achievements of the Cuban Revolution and the Federation of Cuban Women in benefit of Women.
