Remember the legacy of Fidel in Greece

Last March 7 was held and activity at the Cultural Center of the Municipality of Athens to Remember the legacy of the Commander of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro. The important event was organized by the Cultural Asocation José Martí of Solidarity with Cuba and th Association  Giannis Kordatos. More than 150 people from different sectors of the Greek society, Cubn resident in Athens, and representatives of the Embassies of Cuba and Venezuela were  present at that public event. 

Cuba and Austria ratify their will to broaden cooperation in the educational sector

The meeting held by the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Austria, Mr. Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios and the Federal Minister of Education of this European country, PhD. Sonja Hammerschmid at the headquarters of the Austrian ministry, constituted an opportunity to ratify the will of both countries to continue strengthening the existing cooperation bonds in the educational sector through the extension of the bilateral MOU in force.

The First ACS Cooperation Conference to begin in Havana

Focused on tackling climate change, air transport and maritime connectivity, the First Conference of Cooperation of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) began in Havana. According to Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Rogelio Sierra, these two major areas of work of the ACS will focus the debates of this meeting, which is its first edition in the history of the Association and will be maintained for the future and will be held the day prior to each meeting of the Council of Ministers.

UNITED KINGDOM, 8 March 2017.- Invited by the Oxford Brookes University Documentary Club, the Ambassador Teresita Vicente Sotolongo attended the presentation of the documentary Unfinished Spaces on the history of foundation and creation of the Higher Institute of Arts (ISA, by its Spanish initials), the University of Arts of Cuba, an idea of Fidel Castro in the first years after the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution, that changed the concept and the way of teaching arts in Cuba and had an impact beyond its frontiers.

UNITED KINGDOM, 8 March 2017.- On 2 March the Cuban Ambassador visited the Oxford Brookes University where she was received by the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Alistair Fitt. Dr. Fitt explained to the Ambassador the wide profile of studies of the prestigious institution, which is part of the university system of the city of Oxford.
