The Chargé d’Affaires of Cuba in Liberia holds a meeting with the Representative of the United Nations Population Fund in that country.

On the morning of Wednesday an exchange took place between the Chargé d'Affaires of Cuba in Liberia, Yordenis Despaigne Vera and Mr. Oluremi Sogunro, Representative of the United Nations Population Fund, based in Monrovia. The meeting took place at the Fund's headquarters, located in the Liberian capital.

Minister for Local Government expresses appreciation for Cuba´s cooperation in the Pacific region

Wellington, 13 April 2016.-In a meeting held this morning at the Beehive, the Minister for Local Government, Peseta Sam Lotu-Iiga, expressed to the Ambassador of Cuba, Mario Alzugaray, his appreciation for Cuba´s cooperation projects with the Pacific Islands. Also in charge of the ministries of the Pacific People and Ethnic Communities, Lotu-Iiga confirmed he was aware of the experience of some Pacific Islands young fellows, who graduated from medical careers in Cuba and the valuable contribution made to raise the standard of health services in their countries.

Cuba and India exchanged on multilateral issues

INDIA, April 12sd, 2016.- The Ambassador of Cuba in India, Oscar I. Martínez Cordovés, held a meeting whit the Joint Secretary UNES (Economic and Social Affairs United Nations) Puneet Agrawal, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In the occasion, they examined issues related to the successful and growing cooperation in multilateral affairs that has existed between both countries for 56 years, and other international relations matters.

In the afternoon of Monday, the meeting was attended by the Chargé d'Affaires of Cuba in Liberia, Yordenis Despaigne Vera and Mr. Lewis G. Brown II, appointed Ambassador of Liberia to the United Nations, concurrently before the Cuban State. The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Liberian chancellery, located in the capital.

Cuba participates in WTO Regional Trade Policy Course for the Caribbean

Cuba was represented by Marta Castillo, an official of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, in Regional Trade Policy Course for the Caribbean countries sponsored by the World Trade Organization (WTO), which took place in Barbados from April 3 to May 27, 2016 with the attendance of delegates from more than 25 countries in the region.

Cuba's Ambassador presents credentials to the President of Fiji

Suva, April 2 - In a ceremony hosted at the Government House in this capital city, Cuba's Ambassador, Mario Alzugaray, presented to the President of the Republic of Fiji, H.E. Major General r Jioji Konousi Konrote, the letters that acredited him as a the representative of the Cuban Government in that country. During the meeting, the Head of State Fiji ratified the will of its Government to further strengthen bilateral ties and expressed his satisfaction with the multiple coincidences of both nations, as small islands development States.

Deputy Secretary of the Pacific Islands Forum highlights Cuban cooperation in the region

Suva, March 31, 2016.- In a meeting to welcome the Ambassador of Cuba, Mario Alzugaray, the Deputy Secretary of the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat, Andy Fong Toy, expressed satisfaction with the cooperation that Cuba has offered to the countries of the region and confirmed its willingness to further promote links between the Caribbean country and the organization she represents.
