Cuba-Barbados Friendship´s Association meets with ICAP delegation .

The President of the Association of Friendship Barbados-Cuba, David Denny. led a meeting held during a working lunch offered at the Pom-Marine Hotel to the delegation of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) who visited Barbados from 26 and May 30, 2016 composed by his First Vice President Elio Gamez and the director for Latin America and the Caribbean, Robert Hamilton.

ICAP delegation visit Barbados and is received by the BLP´s Secretary General and other MP.

The high-level delegation of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) who visited Barbados between 26 and 30 May 2016 composed his First Vice President Elio Gamez and the Director for Latin America and the Caribbean, Robert Hamilton, was received on his first day of work in the Office of the Leader of the Opposition in Parliament by the Secretary General of the Labour Party (BLP), Senator Jerome Walcott, who was accompanied by Members of Parliament Cynthia Forde and Jeffrey Bistoc, and Assistant Patricia Parris.

ICAP delegation visits Barbados and is received by DLP´s Secretary General.

SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES IN FAVOUR OF THE STRENGTHENING OF THE CATTLE PRODUCTION WITH THE TECHNICAL CUBAN ASSISTANCE.

Cuba's Ambassador, Vilma Reyes Valdespino, received Hon. Saboto Caesar Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and his Advisor Philemon Allen on May 24th, at the headquarters of the diplomatic mission.

During the talks the Vincentian Minister thanked Cuba for the technical assistance given last year, 2015, in the field of artificial insemination, as a result of which were born several dozen calves on Vincentian farms.

Major Indian press reports the presence of Cuba as the Focus Country of the 7th coming Jagran Film Festival in India.

India May 20, 2016. 21 of the most important organs of the press in India have reported  until today the presence of Cuba as the  Focus Country  in the upcoming 7th Jagran Film Festival to be held in 14 cities of India from 1st July to September 26 this year.

Secretary (East) of External Affairs of India received the Cuban Ambassador.

INDIA, May 19, 2016.- The Secretary (East) of  External Affairs .H.E.  Ms. Preeti Saran received on Wednesday at the headquarters of the Ministry of External Affairs to H.E. Mr. Oscar Martinez Cordovés, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in India.

During the meeting both sides reviewed the positive bilateral ties and the possibilities for strengthening them in the tourism sector, health, pharmaceuticals, etc., working together with the full support of India to advance these objectives.

Review of the Cuban medical cooperation in Ghana

The Cuban Ambassador, Mr. Pedro Luis Despaigne González, visited the headquarters of the Ministry of Health of Ghana where he held a working meeting with the Minister, Mr. Alexander Segbefia.

Both sides pointed out the steps that have been taken to reestablish the medical cooperation in Ghana and also recognized the good state of cooperation for the academic services that Cuba offers to about 250 young Ghanaians who are currently studying Medicine and other related careers on the island.

Cuban doctors conclude assistance mission in Fiji

Wellington, 17 may 2016.- As part of a mission to assist Fiji after the devastating effects of Cyclone Winston, a couple of doctors from the "Henry Reeves" Brigade ended their work in Suva. Epidemiologists Adrian Benitez Proenza and René Aveleira Cutiño departed back to their homeland after more than a month and half involved in diverse tasks in the Pacific Island. During their stay, both doctors worked with local health authorities and had the opportunity to exchange experiences with other colleagues from different countries.
