President Pro-Tempore of the Liberian Senate talks to Cuban Chargé d'Affaires.

The head of the Cuban diplomatic mission in Liberia, Yordenis Despaigne Vera, was received in his office by the president pro-tempore of the Liberian Senate, Mr. Armah Zollu Jallah, senator for the county of Gbarpolu. The chief of the High Chamber was accompanied by Senator Peter Coleman, chairman of the Senate Health Committee and representative of Grand Kru County. For the Cuban side was also present the Second Secretary, Carmen Maury.

Cuba and Guyana to treat Caribbean children with disabilities

Georgetown, Feb 16 (Prensa Latina) A centre to treat Caribbean children with special educational needs associated with disabilities will be inaugurated here in March, announced today the coordinator for the Centre, Cuban professor Jorge Duvalón.

 

When Interviewed by Prensa Latina, the university professor emphasized the methodological conception of the centre that includes a psychopedagogical approach for the educational, social and labour inclusion of the patients.

 

Cuba and Caricom agree on mutual tariff concessions

Georgetown, Feb 16 (Prensa Latina) The importance of an agreement on mutual concessions on products and tariff preferences between Cuba and the Caribbean Community (Caricom), was highlighted today by the Cuban Ambassador to Guyana, Julio César González Marchante.

 

The Diplomat told Prensa Latina that the Second Additional Protocol to the Agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation, already initiated by both parties, is a tribute to the economic debate of a Caricom summit, which begins here today.

 

The Cuban Ambassador to Ghana visits Daily Graphic Newspaper

The Cuban Ambassador, Pedro Luis Despaigne González, visited the headquarters of the Daily Graphic Newspaper where held a meeting with his Editor, Mr. Ransford Tetteh.

The Cuban Ambassador thanked Mr. Tetteh for the articles published about Cuba in the Daily Graphic during 2016, especially those related to the passing away of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro. The Ambassador made an explanation of the historic links between Cuba and Africa and ratified the Cuban commitment to the African countries and specifically with the Ghanaian people.

Cuban Ambassador talks to the President of Ghana

The Ambassador of Cuba to Ghana, Pedro Luis Despaigne González talks to President of Ghana, Mr. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, during the presentation of New Year Greetings to the President by the diplomatic corps, event carried out in the Flagstaff House.

The President of Ghana expressed his condolences on the passing of Fidel Castro, whom he met personally in his first trip to Cuba in April 2006. He also recalled some passages of the places he visited in that moment and expressed their desire to visit the island again.
