Indonesia, August 24, 2016. The Cuban Embassy gave the farewell to Naopal, an Indonesian young who received the scholarship from the caribbean island to study medicine for free, as part of the program of cooperation with the Asian country. The meeting held at the headquarters of the Diplomatic Mission of Cuba was attended as well by the parents of the student and other friends of the Embassy.

The Cuban Ambassador in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Vilma Reyes Valdespino, was received by Nathaniel Williams, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Regional Integration of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Indonesia, August 20, 2016. A sample of the Cuban culture, traditions and of the tourist attractions of the island were exposed under the Culinary Summer Festival held in the city of Bandung, under the auspices of the Mayor of the city and the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and with the participation of Latin American and Caribbean Embassies.

THE BAHAMAS, 18th August, 2016.- Yesterday, the Ambassador of Cuba to The Bahamas, Ismara Vargas Walter, bid farewell to the five Bahamians students who will go to Cuba to make their college careers in Medicine and Health Technology.

During the ceremony, the students signed the Code of Ethics, as a commitment to observe the discipline that is reflected in that document. Similarly, they appreciated the opportunity that the government of Cuba offers to the students of different nationalities.

In the Freedom Centre of Accra was held a Workshop dedicated to the life and work of Commander in Chief of the Cuban Revolution. The Workshop was part of the commemoration of the 90th Anniversary of Fidel that was organized by the Socialist Forum of Ghana in coordination with the Embassy of Cuba.

In commemoration of the 90th birthday of Commander in Chief of the Cuban Revolution a political-cultural activity was held at the Freedom Centre in Accra. The activity is part of the tribute organized by the Socialist Forum of Ghana in coordination with the Embassy of Cuba.

Mabel LeónÁlvarez, Jefa de la Brigada Médica Cubana, habló en representación de los colaboradores cubanos, destacando la talla universal del pensamiento político del líder cubano y su prestigio internacional, así como lo que representa su ejemplo de dignidad para el pueblo cubano, como indiscutible conductor de la Revolución Cubana.

A cordial baseball game was held in Accra as part of activities to celebrate the 90th birthday of the Commander in Chief and leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz.

The field located in areas of Labone Senior High School, witnessed the match between a group of young Ghanaians practitioners of the sport and the graduates in Cuba, known as "cubanitos". Members of the Cuban Embassy, members of the Japan Embassy and a representation of the Cubans that live in Ghana were also present.
