Ambassador of Cuba holds meeting with State Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development of Sri Lanka

SRI LANKA, February 27, 2017.- The Ambassador of Cuba, Juana Elena Ramos Rodriguez, met with the Honorable Dilip Wedaarachchi, Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development of Sri Lanka.

In the meeting, both sides highlighted the historical bonds of friendship existing between the two countries and reiterated their interest in strengthening ties of cooperation, trade and investment in the areas of fisheries and development and preservation of aquatic resources.

Pakistan, Cuba ink MoU to strengthen parliamentary cooperation

Senate of Pakistan and National Assembly of Power’s People of Cuba have signed Memorandum of Understanding for strengthening cooperation in Parliamentary Affairs.

Secretary Senate of Pakistan, Amjed Pervez Malik, and secretary of National Assembly of Power’s People of Cuba, Miriam Brito Sarroca, signed the MoU at Havana.

Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani and President of National Assembly of Power’s People of Cuba and parliamentarians from both countries were also present on the occasion.

The First vice president of the Councils of State and Ministers of Cuba received in Havana the Chairman Senate of Pakistan

The first vice president of the State Councils and Ministers of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel, received today the President of the Senate of Pakistan, Mian Raza Rabbani, who fulfills an invitation from the National Assembly of Popular Power (ANPP).

At the meeting, both personalities talked about the excellent state of the bilateral ties and expressed the mutual interest of working to consolidate and extend them.

They also discussed the respective national realities and the international situation.

Esteban Lazo receives Chairman Senate of Pakistan

The president of the National Assembly of People's Power (ANPP) Esteban Lazo Hernández, received the chairman Senate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Mian Raza Rabbani, in the morning of today in the seat of the Cuban parliament.

During the meeting, both leaders agreed on the need to strengthen interparliamentary relations but above all strengthen the economic ties between the two countries.
