Promote in India participation in 41 FIHAV 2025 Edition

New Delhi, 01 September 2025- The Ambassador of Cuba to India, Juan Carlos Marsán, held two meetings with Mr. Shri Vimal Anad, Deputy Secretary for Latin America at the Ministry of Commerce, and Dr. Ajay Sahai, Director General and CEO of Federation of Indian Exports Organisations (FIEO) to promote the participation of Indian entrepreneurs in the forthcoming 41st edition of FIHAV 2025, to be held from 24-2429 November in Havana, Cuba.

University of Stavanger and University of Havana strengthen ties

Oslo, September 1, 2025. Within the framework of the cooperation project "Well-being in Cuba and Norway. Strengthening professional training on social policies and well-being from an intercultural perspective," another group of professors from the Department of Sociology of the University of Havana arrived in Norway on August 8th for master's and doctoral stays during the fall semester at the University of Stavanger.

Namibian president thanks cuba for its role in the struggle for independence

Namibian president Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah recognized Cuba’s role in Namibia’s fight for independence during the National Heroes' Day event held at the Katima Mulilo Sports Complex in the Zambezi region.

Ambassador Sergio Vigoa de la Uz attended the annual celebration, which honors the heroes and heroines who fell during Namibia’s fight for independence and celebrates freedom and life.

Cuba Advocates for the Adoption of an International Protocol to Strengthen Children's Right to Education

Speaking at the inaugural session of the Working Group established by the Human Rights Council to examine the possibility of drafting an Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child, Ambassador Rodolfo Benítez Verson, Permanent Representative of Cuba to the UN in Geneva, emphasized that the universalization of the right to education is a priority for the Island.

Education is not only the driving force and transformer of economic and social development, but also contributes comprehensively to the promotion and protection of all human rights, including the right to development.
