Cuba and the United States hold migration talks in Washington DC
Washington, April 16, 2024 - On April 16, 2024, representatives of Cuba and the United States held bilateral migration talks in Washington DC.
Deputy Foreign Minister Carlos Fernández de Cossío Domínguez headed the Cuban delegation and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the State Department's Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs Eric Jacobstein led the U.S. delegation.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed the implementation of the bilateral Migration Agreements, whose texts set forth the mutual commitment to guarantee regular, safe and orderly migration.
Cuban parliamentarians exchange with State Secretary of the Norwegian Ministry of International Development
Oslo, April 15, 2024. The deputies to the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba participating at the 8th International Parliamentarians´ Conference on the Implementation of the Program of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development (IPCI/ICPD), had the opportunity to meet Bjørg Sandkjær, State Secretary of the Norwegian Ministry of International Development, who was one of the speakers at the closing ceremony.
Active participation of Cuban deputies at the International Conference of Parliamentarians held in Oslo
Oslo, April 15, 2024. Within the framework of the 8th International Parliamentarians´ Conference on the Implementation of the Program of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development (IPCI/ICPD), which took place in this city from 10 to 12 April, the deputies of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba shared experiences on the application of Cuban legislation for the protection of the human rights of all people without discrimination based on their orientation or gender identity.
