Cuba in Norway

In the framework of the Bergen International Festival, the Ambassador of Cuba interacts with relevant Norwegian personalities.

Oslo, May 24, 2024. During the opening of the Bergen International Festival, the Cuban ambassador to Norway, Maité Rivero Torres, had the opportunity to greet and interact with relevant Norwegian personalities, such as the Minister of Culture and Equality, Lubna Jaffery; the mayor and the governing mayor of Bergen municipality, Marit Warncke and Christine Meyer; the former prime minister, leader of the Conservative Party (Høyre) and member of the Storting’s Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defense, Erna Solberg, and the director of the Festival, Lars Petter Hagen.

Cuban Ambassador to Norway visits Bergen Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Oslo, May 25, 2024. The ambassador of Cuba, Maité Rivero Torres, and several other members of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Norway, visited the headquarters of the Bergen Chamber of Commerce and Industry. There they were received by Monica Mæland, CEO; Tom-Christer Nilsen, Business Policy Manager, and Nicoline Wiederstrøm, Head of International Relations.

Cuba present in activities for Norway´s National Day

Oslo, May 17, 2024. Several activities took place today to celebrate the National Day of the Kingdom of Norway (Constitution Day). The Cuban ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, took part in all of them, along with her colleagues from the Diplomatic Corps.

In the morning hours, the Cuban diplomat went to the Royal Palace to leave a message conveying sincere congratulations to His Majesty the King and the whole royal family, as well as to the Government and people of Norway on the occasion of this important day.
