Ambassador takes part in the annual meeting of the Norwegian Shipowners´ Association with the Heads of Diplomatic Missions
Oslo, May 16, 2023. It was a pleasure for the Cuban ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, to attend the annual meeting of the Norwegian Shipowners´ Association with the Heads of Diplomatic Missions accredited in Norway.
It was very useful and interesting for her to follow the presentation made by the CEO of the Organization, Harald Solberg, on recent developments in the maritime sector and the challenges faced by the shipping industry. (Embassy of Cuba in Norway)

Oslo, May 12, 2023. Dr. Diana García del Barco Herrera, leader of the Neuroprotection project at the Biomedical Research Division of the Cuban Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology , acted as the first opponent in the defense of the Doctoral Thesis in Health Sciences by Linda Thøring Øverberg, at the Oslo Metropolitan University (OsloMet).
The Second Secretary of the Embassy of Cuba visits the Supreme Court of Norway
Oslo, May 11, 2023. The second secretary of the Embassy, Daffne Ernesto Mirabal García, along with some of his colleagues from the Diplomatic Corps, paid a visit to the Supreme Court of Norway.
For him, it was an excellent opportunity for learning more about the mission, organization and functioning of this important Norwegian institution with the assistance of Bente J. Kraugerud, its secretary- general.
The Supreme Court is Norway's highest court of justice. It gives judgment in the final instance and has general jurisdiction. (Embasy of Cuba in Norway)
Cuban ambassador participates in the National Conference of the Norwegian Labor Party
Oslo, May 6, 2023. The Ambassador of Cuba, Maité Rivero Torres, responded positively to the invitation that was extended to her, as part of the accredited Diplomatic Corps, to participate at the National Conference of the Norwegian Labor Party, which took place from May 4 to 6, at the Oslo Congress Center.
The diplomat took part in the inauguration of the great event, in which she, together with the rest of the international guests, had the opportunity to closely follow the central speech, delivered by the Party leader and Prime Minister, Jonas Gahr Støre.
Through friends, Cuba was present at the parade for May Day in Oslo, Norway
Oslo, May 2, 2023. During the parade that took place in this city on May Day, the International Workers' Day, members of the Norway-Cuba Friendship Association were present to show solidarity and support for Cuba and its people.
