Cuban ambassador receives the Norwegian poet Gunnar Wærness
Oslo, February 16, 2023. The Cuban Ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, received the Norwegian poet Gunnar Wærness.
Both exchanged ideas on possible actions aimed at developing the relations between Cuba and Norway in the field of culture and the different artistic manifestations, particularly literature.

Oslo, February 15, 2023. The ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, paid a visit to the headquarters of the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (LO) in Oslo . She was received there by its president, Ingunn Gjerstad.
The Cuban diplomat and the Norwegian trade union leader held a fraternal meeting, within the framework of the relations of friendship and cooperation that link the LO branch in Oslo and the Provincial Committee of the Central Workers’ Union of Cuba (CTC) in Havana.

Odd-Jarl Gerhardsen, editor-in-chief of "Friheten", the newspaper of the Communist Party of Norway (NKP), was among the participants to the First International Meeting of Theoretical Publications of Leftist Parties and Movements, that took place in Havana on February 10 and 11, convened by the magazine "Cuba Socialista", theoretical and political organ of the Communist Party of Cuba.
Matanzas University of Medical Sciences welcomes a group of Norwegian Nursing students from VID University
Oslo, February 11, 2023. Seven Norwegian Nursing students from VID Specialized University began an internship on comprehensive nursing practice at the University of Medical Sciences of the Cuban province of Matanzas.
The University authorities welcomed the group, which is the first they receive in the framework of a Student Mobility Agreement signed last year.
As part of the teaching program, which will last until May 26, the students will carry out several theoretical and practical activities. (Embassy of Cuba in Norway)
Nursing students from the Norwegian VID University begin a course at the University of Medical Sciences of Cienfuegos
Oslo, February 10, 2023. A group of eleven Nursing students from VID Specialized University have joined the University of Medical Sciences of the Cuban province of Cienfuegos to receive a three-month theoretical and practical training course.
This action falls within the framework of a Student Mobility Agreement signed last year between the two universities, in order to strengthen the academic links and enhance the international dimension of education in the health sector.
