Ambassador of Cuba gives continuity to exchanges with the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (LO)
Oslo, February 24, 2023. The Cuban ambassador to the Kingdom of Norway, Maité Rivero Torres, visited once again the headquarters of the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (LO). There she was received by Nina Mjøberg, head of the Solidarity Section of the International Department, with whom she had a cordial meeting.

Oslo, February 21st, 2023. On the occasion of the birthday of His Majesty the King Harald V of Norway, the Ambassador of Cuba, Mrs. Maité Rivero Torres, had the honour to convey sincere congratulations on behalf of the Cuban Government and people, and on her own behalf.

Ambassador to Norway exchanges with Director General of Multilateral Affairs of the Foreign Ministry
Oslo, February 17, 2023. The Cuban ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, held a meeting with Merete Fjeld Brattested, general director of Multilateral Affairs of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Issues of interest for Cuba in the multilateral field were addressed during the exchange, which took place in a cordial atmosphere, in correspondence with the existing cooperation between the two countries in international organizations, mainly at the United Nations.

Both exchanged ideas on possible actions aimed at developing the relations between Cuba and Norway in the field of culture and the different artistic manifestations, particularly literature.

The Cuban diplomat and the Norwegian trade union leader held a fraternal meeting, within the framework of the relations of friendship and cooperation that link the LO branch in Oslo and the Provincial Committee of the Central Workers’ Union of Cuba (CTC) in Havana.
