PAKISTANI-CUBAN DOCTORS ASSOCIATION (PCDA) REQUEST THE END OF THE BLOCKADE
We the members of Pakistani-Cuban Doctor Association (PCDA) graduated from prestigious Cuban institute Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM) call for the end of the unjust embargo imposed on Cuba since 50 years. This persistent embargo goes against the basic human rights. The 193-member General Assembly passed a resolution against this embargo in 2017 with 191 votes in favor. Israel, as it has done in the past, voted in line with its top ally, U.S. The non-binding resolution has urged the United States to repeal the embargo on Cuba as soon as possible. Only the U.S.

Islamabad, October 16, 2018.- The Cuban ambassador to Pakistan, Gabriel Tiel Capote, granted an exclusive interview to the magazine "Pakistan in the World" during which he denounced the persistence and strengthening of the blockade against Cuba and the damage caused to Cuban people for almost six decades. The ambassador referred to the Report of Cuba on the Blockade and the Resolution entitled “Necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America against Cuba” that will be vote on October 31 at the United Nations General Assembly.
CUBA AND PAKISTAN SIGNED A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN BOTH NATIONAL LIBRARIES
Islamabad, May 22, 2018. Cuba and Pakistan signed today a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the National Library of Cuba "José Martí" and the National Library of Pakistan. The MoU was signed by the Secretary of the National and Literary History Division of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Eng. Aamir Hasan, and the ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Gabriel Tiel Capote.
