The First vice president of the Councils of State and Ministers of Cuba received in Havana the Chairman Senate of Pakistan

The first vice president of the State Councils and Ministers of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel, received today the President of the Senate of Pakistan, Mian Raza Rabbani, who fulfills an invitation from the National Assembly of Popular Power (ANPP).

At the meeting, both personalities talked about the excellent state of the bilateral ties and expressed the mutual interest of working to consolidate and extend them.

They also discussed the respective national realities and the international situation.

Pakistan, Cuba ink MoU to strengthen parliamentary cooperation

Senate of Pakistan and National Assembly of Power’s People of Cuba have signed Memorandum of Understanding for strengthening cooperation in Parliamentary Affairs.

Secretary Senate of Pakistan, Amjed Pervez Malik, and secretary of National Assembly of Power’s People of Cuba, Miriam Brito Sarroca, signed the MoU at Havana.

Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani and President of National Assembly of Power’s People of Cuba and parliamentarians from both countries were also present on the occasion.

Islamabad, January 18, 2017. The Pakistan-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group in the Senate, in coordination with the Cuban Embassy, organized ​​today a commemorative seminar in honor of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz. The event was chaired by Pakistan Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani, Group Convener Senator Mushahid Hussain, and Cuban Ambassador Gabriel Tiel Capote, speakers at this memorable commemoration. Representatives of the Pakistani Doctors Graduates in Cuba Association, the Pakistan-Cuba Social Forum and several Senators also spoke at the meeting.

THE 58TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE TRIUMPH OF THE REVOLUTION CELEBRATED IN PAKISTAN

Today’s morning, January 4, 2017, the leadership of the "Pakistan- Cuba Social Forum" headed by its president, Mr. Ramzan Mughal, went to the Cuban Residence to celebrate together the 58th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution. During the activity, the ambassador, Gabriel Tiel Capote, thanked them for their presence and solidarity, while advocating the strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries. In turn, Mr. Mughal was grateful for the welcome and for having the possibility of celebrating together this new anniversary of the advent of a new era in Cuba.
