The US authorities, responsible for the illegal blockade of Cuba, try to use discontent by elements of the Cuban population for their political aims. Protests in the eastern part of the country on 17th of March were addressed by the authorities that attempt to improve the situation of the entire society. Despite the external involvement and propaganda, protests ended peacefully.

The 6th Congress of the Communist Party of Poland against the blockade of Cuba
Warsaw, November 2, 2023
The 6th Congress of the Communist Party of Poland strongly condemns the illegal and inhumane economic blockade imposed on Cuba by the United States and demands its abolishment.
The „act” known as Helms-Burton Act which is a part of this blockade, puts the illegal sanctions on companies from third countries, which were conducting their businesses on Cuba. These actions were frequently condemned by the international community, including the United Nations General Assembly, defined as breaking of international law.
