The 60th anniversary of Cuban medical collaboration is celebrated in Seychelles.
Members of the Cuban Medical Brigade in Seychelles celebrated this Saturday the 60th anniversary of Cuban medical collaboration.
On behalf of the Seychelles Ministry of Health, Dr. Josapha Jouanneau, Principal Medical Officer (Community), congratulated the Cuban doctors and highlighted the important contribution of Cuba during more than 40 years of collaboration, which has allowed them to achieve high health indicators in their population. He also highlighted the role of Cuban professionals in supporting their health system during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Cuban Ambassador to Seychelles held a working meeting with Ruth Barbe, professor at the Dance School of the Seychelles National Arts Council.
During the meeting, they discussed the 10th edition of the Dance Biennale, which will take place from 20 August to 2 September 2023 in Victoria.
Ruth Barbe extended to the Ambassador an invitation for Cuba to participate in the event, together with dance groups from other invited countries, including France, South Africa, India, Mauritius and Madagascar.
Cuba is active at the head of the Group of 77 + China
At the beginning of the year Cuba assumed the pro tempore presidency of the Group of 77+China, and in these four months it has developed an intense activity to promote cooperation in this mechanism of coordination, which brings together 134 of the 193 member states of the UN.
It is in the interest of the Caribbean nation, in the midst of a post-pandemic world, to take collaboration in education, culture for sustainable development, science, technology and innovation to a higher level.
Cuban Ambassador visits the Seychelles Tourism Academy.
The Ambassador of Cuba, Martha Hernández Caneiro, visited on Wednesday the Seychelles Tourism Academy, where she had a pleasant meeting with its director, Terence Max, and part of his management team.
Both parties discussed the development of the tourism industry in their respective countries and the importance given by their governments to the education and training of human resources who provide services in this sector.
They also agreed on the potential for promoting collaborative links in this area.

Invited by the Creative Agency of the National Institute of Culture, Heritage and Arts of Seychelles, members of the Cuban Embassy attended the official opening of the Mize Koko, a museum entirely dedicated to the recognition and appreciation of the coconut fruit, its importance and contribution to the traditions and culture of Seychelles.
