Statement by the Revolutionary Government

Havana, June 6th, 2022.- The US Government, abusing its privilege of being the host country, decided at a very early stage to exclude Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua from the 9th Summit of the Americas to be held in the city of Los Angeles this month of June.  It has refused to attend to the just claims of many governments to change that discriminatory and unacceptable stand.  

Cuban Medical Brigade celebrates scientific day

In celebration of the annual scientific day, the Cuban Medical Brigade in Seychelles presented more than twenty scientific results based on their experiences in medical care in Seychelles.

This took place at the Sheikh Khalifa diagnostic centre on Saturday.

The Republic of Cuba and Seychelles established relations on April 12, 1978. The relation between the two countries has strengthened through various bilateral agreements revealed through the 300 Seychellois graduates.

U.S. lifts Cuba flight restrictions imposed under Trump

The administration of President Joe Biden on Wednesday revoked a series of restrictions on flights to Cuba imposed by his predecessor, including ending a prohibition on U.S. airline flights to Cuban airports other than Havana.

Reuters reported that the U.S. Transportation Department (USDOT) issued the order at the request of Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who said the action was "in support of the Cuban people, and in the foreign policy interests of the United States."

ALBA-TCP Summit rejects exclusion and discrimination

A resounding rejection of the exclusion of Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua from the upcoming Summit of the Americas, organized by the United States, was expressed on Friday by the ALBA-TCP member countries.

The 21st  Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of the Americas-People's Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), held in Havana, condemned in its final declaration the discriminatory treatment of these nations.

Africa in the hearts of Cubans

There are many reasons for Cuba to commemorate the Africa Day every May 25.

Cubans feel proud of our African roots, for the decisive contribution to the formation of the Cuban nationality made by more than one million two hundred thousand Africans who arrived in our country, torn from their lands by the abhorrent slave trade, and whose presence marked the history of Cuba.
